Do I need a referral? If you will be submitting a claim to your insurance for reimbursement of services provided, the State of Florida requires a written prescription from your doctor if treatment is needed for > 30 days.
Do you accept insurance? Pelvic Rehab of VERO provides specialized and comprehensive hands-on care, and one on one time with our patients. We do not accept insurance as we are a small, fee-for-service clinic and collect payment at the time of service. By not being limited to what insurance will allow, we can provide a level of care that is right for you. We will gladly provide you with a detailed receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many physical therapy services are covered by insurance. If you will be submitting for reimbursement from your insurance company, please make sure you have a doctor's order for physical therapy dated within 30 days of your physical therapy initial evaluation.
What if I need to cancel or change an appointment? A $50.00 fee will be charged due to cancellation of an appointment with less than 48 hours notice or a no-show. After the second late cancellation or no-show, the full rate for the appointment will be charged.
Where is Pelvic Rehab of VERO located? Pelvic Rehab of VERO is a mobile service. We travel to you to provide pelvic floor physical therapy services in the privacy and convenience of your home.
What should I expect for a pelvic floor physical therapy appointment? Your first appointment will be your initial evaluation where an assessment of your pelvic alignment and pelvic floor function/mobility/strength will be completed to determine what is causing your symptoms/problems. External and internal (vaginal and/or rectal) examinations are recommended to most comprehensively assess your pelvic floor. However, if you are not comfortable with an internal examination, external techniques can always be substituted. (Please remember you are in control of every session and can stop any examination or treatment you are uncomfortable with at any time.) Your subsequent appointments will implement the appropriate treatments to address the pelvic floor problems identified during your initial assessment.
What should I wear for my appointments? Please wear clothes you feel comfortable in for your appointments.
